ABM was invited to design a large office space where the client envisioned a space with integrated artwork. Our approach balances transparency and enclosure - using glass partitions to invite natural light, and solid walls to display custom artworks. The landscape elements are also integrated into the space.
The floor plan is thoughtfully organized around a central reception that separates two distinct wings: one for general staff and the other for executives.
Location: Mumbai, India

ENTRANCE RECEPTION
The shared reception area serves as a hub with adjacent common meeting rooms and a waiting lounge. The reception desk is clad in marble, set against a sweeping curved wall that creates a striking visual backdrop.
STAFF ZONE
On one side of the reception lies the general office area, a mix of workstations, meeting rooms, private cabins, and a cafeteria. Upon entering this zone, there are two large meeting rooms clad in mirror, creating an illusion of expanded space in a narrow corridor.
Workstations are organized into departmental bays, with centrally located meeting rooms dedicated to the design team. The cafeteria is defined by a warm veneer ceiling and walls adorned with mirror and tile-clad paneling.
We also introduced rounded corners and curved glass to soften the geometry of the space. A concealed cove detail hides AC grills, while services in the main corridor are neatly integrated into the ceiling. This results in a clean, minimalistic ceiling design with well-concealed infrastructure.
Artworks are thoughtfully placed throughout - wherever a blank wall presented an opportunity.
EXECUTIVE ZONE
The executive area has its own reception and waiting lounge, the table and planter is finished in Corian cladding. Behind the desk, nine canvas panels form a dynamic backdrop, flanked by woven artworks – ‘Carpets’ by renowned artists Paresh Maity and Brinda Miller.
This zone houses director cabins - each individually designed - along with meeting rooms, the boardroom, a VIP dining room, and executive washrooms. Curved glass partitions echo the design language of the staff area, providing visual continuity.
However, the executive wing is set apart by its rich material palette: marble, veneer, leather, metal inlays, and PU finishes, giving the space a distinctively elevated look.
