Bay Leaf is a contemporary fine dining restaurant designed for Courtyard Marriot, Bhopal. It is the first ever fine-dining restaurant design for the brand (internationally). The testimony to its success lies in the fact that the module is being executed in other properties of Courtyard Marriot.
Location: Bhopal, India
Area: 3000 Sq ft (indoor and outdoor)
The design directed them towards a ‘minimal structural elements, maximum glass’ entity which would welcome the surrounding greenery wholeheartedly into the interiors. Keeping the organic, natural feel in mind, the decorative treatment opted for an earthy scheme heightened by texture-contrasts within the material palette: polished raw-wooden floor, wooden chip walls, leather and fabrics. It was designed with a warm color palette, natural materials, and abundant planting, recalling the typology of an intimately scaled bungalow. Lighting was layered to create inventive set-ups for afternoon and evening meals. Grazers highlighting the backdrop with narrow beam lights on tables created the perfect ambience.
